Virgin Media: They offer an engineering graduate scheme. This two-year scheme of four six-month placements will give you a rock solid grounding in Telecommunications. From day one, you’ll get to grips with real challenges, on projects across a range of business areas including TV, broadband, mobile and fixed voice. You’ll most likely be based in Hook, but potentially other locations such as Birmingham or Amsterdam. You’ll need at least a 2:1 degree,  ideally in Engineering, Computing or Science. You will take on a wide range of roles that could be as diverse as project management or CPE Architecture. Whatever the role, you’ll gain detailed technical skills as well as project management experience. You’ll also build an in-depth understanding of the multiple technologies that go together to deliver one of the major telecommunication networks in Europe. This could include video engineering, network design, capacity planning, access technologies, customer equipment or network management systems
