Thales Group. They are interested in graduates in two key areas: Engineering and Business Management & Finance. They take up to 130 graduates each year. In Engineering, they recruit for a wide range of specific engineering roles in UK locations. Opportunities exist within; Systems, software, electronics, hardware, mechanical, manufacturing, design, radio frequency, mathematical modeling and research. Thales has introduced a new Business Management & Finance Graduate Programme, which provides an opportunity to experience a range of business-related work across Thales UK. The Programme comprises three nine-month placements across areas including Programme Management, Commercial, Purchasing/Procurement, Sales & Marketing and Head Office functions. Alternatively, you can apply for the specific Finance stream, which will see you undertake three nine-month rotations around various businesses. In either Business Management or Finance, your three rotations could take you to any Thales UK site. After completing your third rotation, you’ll join in a permanent role at one of the UK sites.

The four-year Graduate Development Programme (GDP) runs parallel with your Engineering role or placements on the Business Programme. It offers everything from an introduction to our organisation, culture and processes to formal training in the form of seminars, specialist courses and visits. The Thales UK graduate Development Programme is accredited by the following Engineering Institutions: IET, IMechE, Royal Aeronautical Society and Institute of Physics.
