Schroders Apprenticeships & Traineeships
Schroders are a global investment manager, who works with institutions, intermediaries and individuals in an asset management and wealth management role.
Their apprenticeship programmes are permanent, salaried positions offering an entry-level role at Schroders for school leavers. There are apprenticeship opportunities in teams across the business. Each offers the chance to gain expertise and experience in a diverse range of professions, from fund management to research, marketing, finance and technology.
As well as practical work experience, the initial two years of the programme include formal training designed to build expertise and personal capabilities. All of our apprenticeships are fully accredited. Many of our apprentices build long-term careers at Schroders, but wherever their work takes them, they know their training is recognised and valued.
You will spend 20% of your working week receiving the training you need to qualify in your business area. Training costs are covered by Schroders. This means that, unlike university, you will end up qualified and debt-free.
The training you receive will be specific to the apprenticeship programme and business area you choose to apply for. And you will receive an accredited apprenticeship qualification at the end of two years.
You need 96 UCAs points to apply.
They also offer a Traineeship Programme which is part of the Investment2020 initiative and offers a 12-month fixed-term work experience placement. This programme is ideal for people either looking to take a gap year, or those who want to explore their options before deciding if university is right for them. There are no guarantees, but trainees with the right attitude and aptitude often receive permanent job offers at the end of their training.
