RWE: One of Europe’s five leading electricity and gas companies and in the UK is known as npower. They have expertise in oil and gas; electricity generation from gas, coal, nuclear and renewables; energy trading as well as electricity and gas distribution and sales; active at all stages of the energy value chain. They employ c70,000 employees and supply over 16 million electricity customers and nearly eight million gas customers with energy. They have a broad range of graduate programmes,many of which are in Germany. (For UK schemes see entry under npower). In Germany, they have relevent schemes for those graduates who are studying either economics, engineering, law, humanities/socail science, natural science,maths and computer science/IT. Most of their programmes are 18 months in length. They are a German company and many of the positions are based there.
