Metropolitan Police: Offer a three year Police Officer Graduate Entry Programme. This three-year course gives you exposure to the full range of police service delivery, acting as the springboard for a diverse and absorbing career as an officer in the MPS. There is also the possibility of entry onto the Accelerated Graduate Development Programme (AGDP). This will be a three-year scheme with the College of Policing. It’s a highly intensive programme designed to produce the leaders of tomorrow. On the GDP, the first 12 months will will focus on your Probationer Training and the Initial Police Learning and Development Programme.

In year 2, you will be working within a Borough Operational Command Unit on three operational placements – covering Investigative [intelligence led approaches to solving local crimes such as burglary and motor vehicle crime], Police Response [fast paced immediate response to a range of 999 calls] and Partnership roles [building relationships with the local community providing reassurance and working with people to solve long-term local issues]. The final period of the scheme will see you experience leadership and career development modules, focusing on your leadership, management and strategic development. Learn more about the Police Numerical Ability test HERE
