M15 Security Service Graduate Scheme
M15 Security Service: MI5 safeguards the United Kingdom against threats to national security including terrorism, espionage, sabotage and the spread of weapons of mass destruction.
They offer 2 year graduate development programmes in the following areas: intelligence officer (IODP), intelligence and data analysis (I&DADP) and technology. The IODP is a structured two year programme designed to teach you about MI5 investigations and give you the confidence to run them. You either complete two postings of one year’s duration, or one posting of two years. These initial roles are designed to develop key skills relevant to intelligence work.
The I&DADP is a structured two year programme, placing you at the heart of MI5 investigations and training you up to use advanced data analytical techniques. You will answer critical questions such as “who is using this mobile phone?”, “where are they located?” and “what are their activities?”. The technology programme is also a structured two year programme that gives you the experience, knowledge and skills you need to be an effective technology professional in the pioneering IT department.
The programme has two streams – Business and Specialist (software development and cyber).
