Linklaters Training Contract
Linklaters: The training contract is usually built around six-month ‘seats’ in four different practice areas – often including a seat in one of the international offices or on a client secondment. You will have the opportunity to express the kind of experience that you want, through seats and secondments.
Over two-thirds of trainees go on client and/or international secondments. Client secondments include placements with investment banks, blue-chip multinationals and pro bono organisations, while international postings range from Paris and New York to Shanghai and Dubai.
They organise the work into three broad divisions: Commercial (for eg M&A, Competition, Employment, Pensions), Corporate (for eg Banking, capital markets, Projects, Restructuring) and Finance & Projects (For eg IP, Litigation, Real Estate, Tax, Technology, Media, Trusts). Linklaters provide funding for both the GDL and the LPC and provide a maintenance grant.
