Gibson Dunn: A leading global law firm with a London practice established over 30 years ago.  The London office handles all aspects of corporate work including public and private M&A, private equity, finance, capital markets, tax, commercial real estate, funds and restructuring and insolvency.  The office also has an extensive dispute resolution practice, handling commercial litigation, regulatory investigations, international arbitration and employment and competition disputes.  During the firm’s two-year training contract, trainees will spend at least six months in a transactional seat and at least six months in a litigation seat.  Trainees can choose to spend their remaining seats in other practice areas or undertake a secondment to one of the firm’s international offices or a client.  Trainees typically share an office with a partner or senior associate and work with them on their matters, as well as with other lawyers throughout the firm.  The firm offers up to 8 Training Contracts per year.  The firm strongly encourages candidates interested in a training contract to apply for a place on the summer vacation scheme as, to date, over 90% of the firm’s trainees have been recruited following participation in the scheme.
