Front Line: They will train you as a childrens social worker. Frontline’s graduate programme is a unique opportunity for high-achieving university leavers to join one of Britain’s toughest and most rewarding professions. The programme offers you an exciting new route into a rewarding career in children’s social work. You’ll benefit from intense practical and academic training, coupled with a leadership development programme. Throughout the two years you will work with children and families to bring about positive social change. In the first year, Frontline participants will be placed in local authorities in Greater London and Greater Manchester. Before that, The Summer Institute will give you five weeks of intensive preparation before starting in your local authority. You will be taught by world leading academics, experienced children’s social workers who know the realities of child protection, and leadership experts who will help you bring about change. In Year 2 you will be a qualified social worker* and you will be working with difficult and complex cases.
