CNOOC: They are an upstream oil and gas company developing energy resources in some of the world’s most significant basins, including the UK North Sea, offshore West Africa, the Gulf of Mexico and Western Canada. Nexen is strategically focused on three businesses: conventional oil and gas, oil sands and shale gas. They offer a New Graduate Development Programme in Canada, U.S. and the UK. The program consists of three components: developmental assignments, training and mentoring. New graduates in engineering and geosciences join as part of the Technical New Graduate Program. This program, lasting three years, allows graduates to experience up to three assignments across diverse areas of the operations. Finance and accounting graduates join as a part of the Early Professional Development Program (EPDP). This three year, rotational program provides graduates with diverse work experiences in areas of finance including rotations in Treasury, Audit, Canadian Oil & Gas and International Planning.
