The Bank of England offers a Future Capability Programme for those not planning to go to university. It offers opportunities in Data & Statistics, Financial stability strategy & risk, Markets and Technology. Theyhave designed this 18-month programme to help talented individuals get started in their careers, and see you grow in a number of key roles.
You will work towards one of the following professional qualifications:
Data Analyst , Level 4 Diploma
The training for Data Analyst covers concepts on data analysis, data structure, big data, processes and tools for data integrations. The key areas covered include:
- Identifying, collecting and migrating data
- Interpretation of data
- Statistical analysis and other analytical techniques such as data mining
- Producing performance dashboards
- Tools and techniques for data visualization
- Presenting results to stakeholder and making recommendations
Associate Project Management , Level 4 Diploma
The training for Associate Project Manager covers how to manage a project whether it be large or small, you will gain an understanding of what needs to be achieved with regards to good planning, organisation, leadership, management and communication skills. The key areas you will cover will include:
- Project Governance
- Project Stakeholder Management
- Project Communication
- Project Leadership
- Consolidated Planning
- Budget and Cost Control
- Business Case and Benefits Management
- Project Scope/Schedule/Quality
- Resource Management
- Project Risk and Issue Management
Applications
They want people who are eager to learn and serious about building a career in the financial sector.In terms of grades, they will be looking for a minimum of five GCSEs at C and above, including English and Math’s, and at least72 UCAS points (either passed or predicted) from up to three A Levels or equivalent using the 2017 UCAS Tariff System. For the Data Analyst Diploma at level 4 they require at least one of your A levels (or equivalent) to be in ICT or Math’s.
