Careers

Most people do not have a very good grasp on the plethora of job opportunities that are on offer and neither do they understand what the function of many of the roles are. This is true even of roles that people appear to be familiar with, such as marketing. This careers section looks to address this by providing an explanation of many of those positions. The earlier you can start to formulate your views on a career, the better, as you can then target relevant work experience (and possibly your degree) as early as possible. This will stand you in good stead, as most firms want you to demonstrate work experience in the area to which you are applying.

Some roles are specific to an industry e.g. Banking and Consulting. Others cut across all organisations e.g. Finance, Human Resources. Others, tend to specialise eg Solicitors, Barristers, Surveyors.
