News International: Their Graduate Programme is two years in length. Schemes exist within Advertising, Editorial in The Sun, HR, Marketing & Sales, Manufacturing & Operations and Technology. As a Sun Graduate you will spend two years working in different departments in London, Glasgow and Dublin as learning the craft of journalism in the following areas: News, Sport, Pictures, Features, Art, Bizarre, Digital, Sub-editing and Fabulous magazine. You will be allocated senior journalists as mentors and towards the end of the scheme you will be given an opportunity to specialise in the department of your choice. As well as a 2.1 degree, you need a qualification from the NCTJ or equivalent and must have obtained shorthand at 100wpm.

As a Marketing & Sales Graduate you will spend two years working in; Brand, Marketing Communications, Customer Management and Retail, Online and Direct Sales. The two-year programme will give you exposure to the entire media, marketing and sales mix and you will have the opportunity to work across The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times. As an Advertising Graduate for NI Commercial you will spend two years working within the different Advertising functions; Sales and Trading, Advertising Strategy and Business Services.
