CMS Cameron McKenna: They recruit 60 trainee solicitors a year. Training contracts last for two years. During this time you will have four six-month placements or ‘seats’, gaining experience in different practice areas. You could also be seconded to one of their regional or international offices or even spend time on secondment with a client. They have six broad practice areas which include: Banking and International Finance, Commercial Regulatory & Disputes, Corporate Law, Energy, Projects & Construction, Human Capital and Real Estate. Once you’re offered a training contract, CMS Cameron McKenna will sponsor you while you study for the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and/or the Legal Practice Course (LPC), covering your fees and giving you a generous grant.
